what that doc do
i am currently a student at university!
no specifics because stranger danger and all that but
i am studying linguistics at one of the most famous universities in london
i absolutely love it and find it super funfor the upcoming academic year, i'm having to take a year out to work
this city is far more expensive than it has any right to be
but i'm still happier than i could say about getting to do this
why is docinghton ?
two things always stay the same for my accounts
no matter what the platform is and no matter why i use it
my screen/user name and my profile icon are unchanging
you may be wondering why this is! and everyone always does
so i hope i can tell you what you're looking to find outtap on the button you want to learn about first
docinghton: username
in 2016, a very young eric played an awful lot of minecraft
he mainly played on a now-closed server called hivemc
he loved the show 'doctor who' and had the username TheD0CT0R
in 2016's summer, the 12-year-old eric made his very first online friend
the friend he made was called rem and she quickly became his best friend
she had the username Reminghton
in the september of 2016, that young eric and rem decided to match usernames for a month as a bit of fun
eric changed his username to Docinghton
rem changed her username to TheReminghton
as planned, rem changed her username to something else after a month
but eric kept his username for a little longer;
he never changed it again.

near the end of 2017, a young eric had just turned 14
he made a minecraft skin for a close friend of his called jillian
one of their mutual friends was a very talented artist
this friend, zack, was bored and looking for things to sketch
young eric showed zack the skin he made, and zack sketched it
zack drew a catgirl wearing a sweater saying "basic" - jokingly implying the design of the skin was like a generic basic girl
even though it was a joking sketch, that young eric loved it
he loved it so much he made it into his profile picture for a few days;
but "a few days" never ended, and he has kept it to this day.

i grew up in the north west of england, by manchester
i now live in london as a university student, where i'm doing a degree in linguisticsstill, i am surprisingly well traveled for someone who is broke
i've been to south korea twice so far and i hope to go again
i had the pleasure of meeting some of my closest friends in the world
and the pleasure of living some of the happiest days i've ever lived
plus a random trip to amsterdam a few years back ?? that was nicetap the buttons for some pictures !!!

i headed for amsterdam in 2022 on an impulsive whim
the plan was to go for a concert with kpop idol SUNMI
i ended up meeting someone very dear to me as well
someone who has been very dear to me for a number of years
but that i'd never had the chance to meet until that trip

i went to korea for the first time in 2023
the summer of 2023 was when i found out that i been accepted to the university that i had tried so much to get into
and once i'd arrived, i could do so many things
i could meet friends that i had waited so long to meet;
i could see cities that i had waited so long to see;
i could feel emotions that i had waited so long to feel;
i could be happy.
